UK Minister for Culture to Hold Talks on Maccabi Tel Aviv Fan Ban
A police and crime commissioner from the West Midlands has requested an urgent reexamination of the decision to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv's supporters from being present at the upcoming match.
The commissioner, who supervises the police department, states that this request aims to determine whether the prohibition is appropriate, essential, warranted, sensible, and a balanced step to accomplish a lawful objective.
"That must include consideration of every and any suitable, other choices," the official adds.
He has additionally asked to examine the written decision and suggestion from the safety committee, along with the law enforcement evaluation.
The commissioner underscores, however, that the final decision rests with the committee and the authorities.
