The Reform UK leader Claims Teachers of ‘Poisoning Our Kids’ on Race Issues

The political figure stated that teachers would go on strike shortly after a Reform UK election victory, charging that they are “harming young minds” by telling children that black pupils are victims and white children oppressors.

At a gathering for a private US Christian college, the politician expressed his viewpoint on British schools, stating that the “radical left-wing” had “now in control of our education system”.

“I’m anticipating a teachers’ strike very quickly after securing a victory,” Farage commented during a Q&A session.

“They are corrupting young minds. They instruct children to feel guilt about their nation. They inform an eight-year-old black child that he is oppressed and a white child of the same age that he is an oppressor. They are dividing us, instead of fostering unity. They promote this harmful mindset.”

In response to these assertions, Daniel Kebede rejected the notion that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “absurd”. Kebede noted that any strikes must relate to educators’ working conditions, and questioned whether Reform would attack these immediately upon entering government.

“Farage has built his political career on dog-whistle politics and currently, like Trump, he is lining up teachers and their organizations for a fight,” the union leader said.

“This is highly reckless. Neither I nor our union – advocate such divisive theories as he claims … Should he become prime minister he would sell out our public services, including education … and he would be a disaster for education and children.”

The party, which is leading the polls by a significant margin, has provided limited specifics on its educational plans and does not appear to have appointed an education spokesperson.

Nonetheless, his comments indicated the party would overhaul the system and the curriculum. Farage declared: “We face an enormous task with schooling – absolutely herculean. And, we can’t do it in six months or a year; it will take us years, a long-term effort to reform.”

He stated that gen Z was more open to analytical thought, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Honoring a conservative activist, he commented: “All I want education to do to foster independent thought – to educate individuals that multiple perspectives exist and they should decide for themselves as opposed to what’s happening now where one is virtuous and one is evil. It’s a massive job in both Britain and America.”

The party has conflicted with the UK’s largest teaching union, after Kebede called the party “extremist and prejudiced” and dismissed Farage as “a cheap imitation”.

Farage has accused the union head with being “a self-declared Marxist” … an individual intent that our children should be poisoned at school, their minds should be poisoned about everything to do with this country” and maintained that the organization seeks to brainwash teenagers against Reform.

Roughly a million individuals work in schools in the UK, about half of whom are teachers and the remainder being assistants and administrative personnel. The leading teachers’ organization has about 450,000 members.

Countrywide walkouts over educators’ salaries and work environment in recent years led to significant interruptions in educational institutions and millions of days of lost learning for children.

At the US event, Farage also pledged to help spread the digital courses of the institution in the UK. He stated such groups were “part of the fightback”, adding that: “I am serious. I’ll assist attract vast numbers of youth to these educational programs. I pledge this tonight and I’ll do that.”

The college, a small private Christian college, offers free courses. According to its online description: “Comprehensive learning is necessary for personal happiness and to perpetuate the blessings of civil and religious liberty. It offers these excellent programs for free to every interested learner.”
