Alert: This Account Contains Graphic Descriptions of Shootings.

Fighters laugh as they ride on the back of a transport truck, hurrying past a row of several dead bodies and moving towards the setting Sudanese sun.

"Observe such work. Observe this act of mass destruction," a fighter shouts.

The fighter grins as he turns the recording device on his own face and his companion fighters, their Rapid Support Forces insignia visible: "These people shall all perish like this."

These individuals are exulting in a massacre that humanitarian officials believe claimed the lives of over 2,000 individuals in the African urban center of the Darfur city in recent weeks.

A City Isolated from the World

Having held the city under blockade for nearly two years, from August the militia proceeded to consolidate its dominance and restrict the leftover inhabitants.

Space-based imagery demonstrate that troops began to erect a enormous sand wall - a elevated earthen wall - surrounding the edges of al-Fashir, sealing off access routes and halting aid.

While the blockade escalated, 78 people were murdered in an RSF strike on a mosque on mid-September, while the UN said 53 additional were killed in unmanned aircraft and cannon strikes on a displacement camp in October.

Explicit Recording Reveals Defenseless Individuals Shot

By sunrise on October 26th the paramilitary force overwhelmed the remaining army positions and seized the main base in the city, the headquarters of the Military Unit, as the government forces retreated.

One of the most graphic recordings to surface and analysed depicted the aftermath of a mass killing at a campus structure on the west of the community, where scores lifeless forms were visible scattered over the area.

An elderly individual wearing a white tunic remained isolated surrounded by the victims. He turned to glance as a combatant equipped with a weapon proceeded along the staircase towards the victim. lifting his rifle, the shooter fired a one bullet at the man, who dropped to the surface motionless.

"Why is this person still alive," a combatant exclaimed. "Execute this person."

Space-based imagery captured on October 26th indicated to confirm that executions were also carried out on the roads of el-Fasher, as reported by a study published by the Yale Humanitarian Research Lab.

One witness who provided testimony stated they had witnessed "multiple of our relatives being executed - the victims were collected in a single location and everyone eliminated."

Militia Officers Attempt to Conduct Public Relations

Following the events that followed the killings, paramilitary leader admitted that his fighters had perpetrated "atrocities" and stated the incidents would be examined.

Part of the arrested was subsequent to a investigation documenting his murders. Deliberately staged and produced footage posted on the RSF's official social media account show the commander being taken into a detention area at a detention facility on the outskirts of el-Fasher.

Simultaneously, the militia and affiliated online channels started trying to alter the story.

Updates presenting its militiamen handing out assistance to residents were circulated by various individuals, while the force's public relations unit released multiple clips claiming to display the proper handling of army detainees.

In spite of the social media campaign being employed by the paramilitary, their activities in al-Fashir have provoked worldwide outrage.
