The City of Angels witnessed widespread festivities after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Fans worldwide united with Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations featured a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Online footage show thousands of Angelenos flooding city center avenues, many carrying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the crowds, raising the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.
